Tralene was born in St. Paul's Hospital in Dallas Texas.  From a very early age, her mother would put crayons in her hands to keep her quiet in church.  That was just the beginning!  After completing high school in the 1960's in Houston, Texas, Tralene attended the University of Texas in Austin with an art scholarship. She completed her BFA in Art at the University of Houston.

Tralene married and later lived and traveled in Greece and Europe.  She worked in theater set design and showed and sold her artwork in Greece.

While continuing to craft her art skills, Tralene also worked in the medical fields as an EEG Technician and a Biofeedback Technician, as well as an Art Therapist and a Foster Mother to newborn infants awaiting adoption.
Tralene's art has been shown in various exhibitions and galleries in Houston, California and Greece. Her paintings are in private collections around the world. She uses a variety of traditional media including oil, pastel, pen and ink and found objects. Tralene's art has been heavily influenced by her long held interest in dreams, as well as people and places, impressionism, post impressionism, surrealism, and ancient cultures.

Encouraged to follow her gift in art from an early age by family, friends, teachers and professors, she has indulged her spirit in the creation of art for over sixty years. Tralene believes that her art is a journey of self discovery, and hopes that when you reflect on her art, it will bring to light some bit of self discovery in your own life.
